Colton Loft is a converted former church hall with accommodation for up to six people in the pretty village of Husthwaite, near the market town of Easingwold, North Yorkshire. It comprises a well equipped dining kitchen on the ground floor with patio doors to a terraced seating area. Upstairs is a spacious landing leading to a large sitting room with lovely views of the White Horse and Hambleton Hills. All three double bedrooms are en suite.
Husthwaite is well situated for visiting the historic city of York and the famous Betty’s Tea Rooms, National Railway Museum, Viking Centre and Castle Museum. York Minster and the City Walls are a favourite with visitors. The North Yorks Moors, The Yorkshire Dales, the East Coast and the Yorkshire Wolds are all a picturesque drive away. The quiet village is an ideal base from which to explore the many places of interest – National Trust properties, Castle Howard, the lovely town of Harrogate and beautiful surrounding countryside all within easy reach. We have a chef in the village – Ringadinner – they have an extensive menu of takeaway style meals and deliver to the door. The village pub is the Plum and Partridge (01347) 868642 is a short walk down the village. There are also many good pubs and restaurants in the surrounding villages. The market town of Easingwold is 3 miles away and has a variety of shops, cafes, tea rooms, pubs and takeaways and small supermarkets. Thirsk is another market town, about six miles away, with a large Tesco and Lidl and many other shops etc. Northallerton is also worth a visit – a larger market town.
