We stayed at Colton Loft for our Daughter’s wedding with the reception being held at the childhood home of her fiancee in this beautiful friendly village of Husthwaite. The Loft was perfect for us: modern, well equipped, comfortable and also in keeping with many of the original features of the building.

The views from the living room over towards the famous white horse are quite stunning, including Yasmina’s own garden. The Loft is really well placed for gadding out and about in North Yorkshire and although very busy with wedding preparations we did manage to have a chance to visit a few of the lovely surrounding villages : Helmsley is beautiful with lots to do…. Also the Plumb and Partridge is a really good bistro pub… food was excellent. Highly recommend.

We loved everything about our visit and felt relaxed the second we arrived. We had plenty of space and really appreciated the comfy doubles and the en suites. The place was spotlessly clean and genuinely had everything we needed for our break. We were lucky with the weather and the autumn colours from the windows were beautiful. Thank you for the local running and walking advice Yasmina – excellent trails! Great local pubs too. This is a brilliant base to explore a beautiful part of the country. The North York moors are simply stunning and we also enjoyed day trips to York and Whitby.

We first visited Colton Loft in October 2020. We had booked it for our whole family (2 households) unfortunately due to Covid restrictions, only one family could visit. However we enjoyed our first visit so much, and realised the accommodation was ideal for 6 having 3 double bedrooms all ensuite, we decided to book again for whole family in 2021. Colton Loft is very comfy and well equipped. Very handy for visiting places, the James Herriott museum and Sutton bank nature reserve are just two we would recommend! Yasmina is always very helpful and accommodating! Im sure it wont be our last visit! Would definitely recommend.

The property is lovely, very comfortable and very well equipped, there was absolutely nothing that we needed that wasn’t supplied. It was like staying in someone’s home. The local pub, The Plumb and Partridge was excellent, lovely food, beautifully cooked and there are several other nice pub/restaurants nearby.

We have just spent a wonderful week in this very comfortable and cosy holiday accommodation, more like a home from home. The kitchen was extremely well equipped with virtually everything you might need. The living room is situated on the first floor with a fantastic view of the White Horse at Kilburn. Three comfortable ensuite bedrooms was perfect for our party of three couples. Very good food is to be had just a short walk away at The Tomahawk Steak House, and a short drive away at The Fauconberg Arms in Coxwold. The location is perfect for visiting this beautiful part of Yorkshire.
